THe 2020 Womxn's march
IMPACT and ACTION are key words to this year's march. In four year's time, we have evolved to be more than a March......we are a movement. Coming together, refueling, and recharging is exactly the next step needed in the fight for our rights. Especially in an important election year! That's why we have opted to postpone our rally this year and instead connect our marchers with nonprofits and grassroots organizations that need our support throughout this year. And then we invite you to get registered to vote onsite!
Join us in channeling the anger, frustration, and exhaustion into ACTION! In addition to the March starting at 10am at 14th and Bannock, the day includes the Womxn’s March Denver IMPACT EXPO, co-sponsored by Denver Arts and Venues, taking place inside the McNichols Building at 144 W. Colfax Ave, Denver. The IMPACT EXPO will host two art exhibitions, two sessions of Womxn Building Resilience* participatory art workshops, a live recording of the podcast DEAR WHITE WOMEN* and table exhibits offered to nearly 60 Denver-area non-profit and grassroots organizations serving missions of reproductive rights, climate change, gun safety, immigration, voter registration, domestic violence assistance, and arts activism. All organizations uplifting womxn & community, preominantly led by womxn. See the full schedule and march route here and transportation information here.
Don't forget to bring a box of pads or tampons with you to drop off for periodkits.org--drop locations are near the merch tents at the four corners of Civic Center Park. Start the march with ACTION!!!
WE ARE NOT JUST A MARCH BUT A MOVEMENT! JOIN US!
*tickets still available for the podcast and 2nd workshop--register here!
