Womxn’s March Denver strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully.
We recognize that Denver’s historic Civic Center Park, built in 1919, has a number of barriers to accessibility. We offer the following map to highlight both those barriers (stairs) as well as points of access (ramps) throughout the park. Designated reserved seating adjacent to the entertainment near the Voorhies memorial (pictured on the map) is available to provide an unobstructed view of the entertainment. Accessible portable toilets are designated on the map.
Womxn’s March Denver invites all those with disabilities to join us at the front of the march where we have reserved space for an unobstructed march experience. There will be volunteer peacekeepers along the march route to assist marchers and identify any hazards along the route. Peacekeepers can easily be identified by their yellow vests and all Womxn’s March Denver volunteers will be wearing a credential on a lanyard that will be displayed on their person and can assist with accessibility questions.
Access to the IMPACT EXPO inside the McNichols Building is obtained through the two accessible ramps in the front of the building. There are three floors in the building which are all accessible by the passenger and freight elevators. All restrooms as well as drinking fountains are accessible. Sign language interpreters will be available for the majority of the IMPACT EXPO.
RTD Access: Nearest station that is accessible is Civic Center Station
